The scene between your son and this man is so wholesome and lovely, which is needed in our world. I think of tattoos as a form of memoir, specifically as an attempt to add permanence or solidity to one's identity, which can go all ways. My sister has full sleeves, and I have two. I tend to appreciate others' tattoos more than my own, but there's a long backstory there. :)
