Hmmm. I'm turning 70 in a few days and throwing a party for 50 of my closest friends. Mariachi band; sangria and beer with appetizers followed by champagne and cake. I LOVE celebrating another year of life. Here's to many more - for you and for me!
Thank you David as I sit here finishing my cuppa coffee after a couple of rough days of seasonal depression. Thanks for reminding me of what's important in life.
You sound quite “budhish” in this piece, living in the present and so forth 😀. Include the fear/disappointment or whatever it is that you’re a year closer to the great transition out of this body. Hopefully it means less for you to worry about!
I sometimes call November cake month. We have so many family and friends with birthdays this month including my 67th next Wednesday. As I approach the end of paid work, I am feeling all kinds of abundance in my new hometown where libraries, walking paths and outside pursuits surround me. Having spent my first 23 years in the town where you are, I hope that walk with your wife was particularly delightful. Place matters more than ever as I age. Wishing you a year of good health, new adventures, and peace of mind.
"Let’s celebrate another day alive." How often the day (any day) is passed in a rush of activity but little of the joy of just being alive. I'm with you, I hardly acknowledge my birthday but instead try to acknowledge each day of my living (but gads why must the body hurt more with the living?).
Happy birthday fellow Scorpio. Mine’s tomorrow-the 4th. Lots of one on one dinners and a great weekend with a special one. Birthday’s that end in 5 or O, however, require major celebrations. Enjoy

Oh I get it!. Just make it be a celebration in the present to celebrate the day! I'm right there with you. Party sounds fun. Save me some cake. :)
Every day we wake up alive is a good day.

Seasonal D. Hang in there. Go to a library for bright light and people. Enjoy a cuppa at a friendly spot. Peace

I’m hoping that’s true! Namaste.
